For the last six years I have worked in education, supporting schools and other educational establishments with marketing and communications activity. More recently I worked as a senior manager for London South Bank University, heading up their press and events teams. Prior to this role I worked as the head of communications for the UK’s largest primary academy trust and the head of press and social media for a national education charity. I have also worked with a leading UK-based EdTech company.

I have trained and worked directly with many schools, supporting headteachers and other staff with communications. I understand how resources are limited (as well as budgets). I’m also lucky enough to have a husband who’s a teacher, which gives me another layer of insight and appreciation for what schools do on a daily basis. I have primary, secondary, further education and higher education experience and I am familiar with Ofsted and other challenges schools face today.
