I’m Amy Hanson-Reed, a communications consultant specialising in PR and marketing for schools, colleges, universities, charities and ethical businesses. I also support entrepreneurs and professionals who want to raise their profile and grow their impact.
Originally from Oxfordshire, I spent almost 13 years in and around London before settling in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, where I live with my husband and two sons.
Why a Freelance Consultant?
Freelancing demands organisation, motivation and passion – qualities I bring to every project. I enjoy the variety of working with different organisations and the fresh challenges each brings. Every experience deepens my expertise and helps me deliver even better results for my clients.
Why Work With Me?
I bring over 18 years of communications, PR and marketing experience across charities, education and purpose-driven organisations. Recent roles include Head of Communications at the UK’s largest primary academy trust and Head of Press and Social Media for a national education charity.
Alongside my professional background, I’m known for being a good listener who takes the time to understand each client’s needs. Having worked in the not-for-profit sector for much of my career, I know how to be creative with limited budgets while still achieving strong impact.
I hold a BA in English with Media and Film and a Diploma in Social Media Marketing. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and CharityComms, and I’m committed to continuous professional development to stay on top of the latest trends and best practice.
During your consultation I’ll explore your goals, define what success looks like for you and recommend a tailored package of services to help you get there.
